Chinese most populous city Guangzhou has issued a business license with the help of blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

According to a local news agency Sohu, this is the first Chinese business license that is powered by both Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence. The license was reportedly granted by the administrative center of Huangpu District, one of the ten districts of Guangzhou.

The license program is promoted as “scan the code and start the company in one click”, which means it allows various businesses with various features from filing an application, opening a bank account and submitting tax invoice application via mini WeChat Program.

By using blockchain and AI technology, the service blockchain platform will help to decrease the bidding entry time as well as avoid repeated submissions, which creates a simple way for businesses to set up.

China is well known for its technology innovation including blockchain application. At the end of Q1 2019, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has issued official service names and corresponding filing registration numbers to its first batch of 197 blockchain companies.

In December 2018, Guangzhou, along with Chinese two major cities – Beijing and Shanghai, have become blockchain hubs in China, meaning these are the biggest blockchain legalization areas.

As The Crypto Sight reported in March, Chinese village called Yuedong, which is located in Wenzhou Zhejiang region, has drawn the attention of social media because of its digital currency guardrails and crypto-related sightseeings.
