1inch Plans For Features to Enhance Gas Costs With Its New V5 Router

By Irene L. | November 16, 2022

Per 1inch, users’ gas costs for swaps will be a minimum 10% lower versus its previous offerings in the DEX segment, hence, helping Ether-based swapping activity generate extra revenue for its users.

Specifically, in the Router v5, 1inch reportedly ran estimations that swaps will be around 5% more gas efficient compared to the old version, and 10% more gas efficient, versus the currently 2nd-place performing player in the DEX segment.

Fresh functionalities and enhancements made to the Router v5 from previous routers reportedly include a new interaction logic, pre-/post-interactions, as well as a streamlined smart contract error processing tool.

The new edition additionally works to prioritize security and has been audited by nearly a dozen initiatives in the sector, nominally Consensys, OpenZeppelin, and ABDK Consulting.

“It’s been almost a year since the 1inch Router v4 was released, and during that time we have accumulated enough improvements for the new fifth version. […] We have optimized gas costs even better, so now our users will save at least 8-14% more than using any other DeFi product.” Sergej Kunz, the co-founder of 1inch Network, further shared.

At the start of 2022, the 1inch Network planned for the deployment of the 1inch Aggregation Protocol and the 1inch Limit Order Protocol on Avalanche and Gnosis Chain, formerly known as the xDai Chain.

In August, 1inch reportedly finalized integration with South Korea’s top-tier, well-known metaverse blockchain, Klaytn, to help its user base tap into the 1inch Limit Order Protocol v2, along with offering deeper liquidity and improved token swaps via the 1inch network.

Decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator, 1inch, is set to release its latest router; Router v5. The company said that Router v5 promises to make users’ DeFi experience more convenient by reducing gas costs for swaps.
