Social network giant Facebook has recently hired FS Vector lobbying company to control negative comments related to its announcement of Libra cryptocurrency project.

Specialized in public policy, regulatory compliance, and business strategy, FS Vector provides extensive consulting services for the fintech, crypto, blockchain and financial services sectors.

Specifically, Facebook is said to retain FS Vector for support on “issues related to blockchain policy.” FS Vector partner John Collins, former vice president of international policy at the American Bankers Association’s international subsidiary, the Bankers Association for Finance and Trade is currently leading the Facebook account.

Prior to FS Vector, Collins had contributed at the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and also spearheaded Congress’ first research into digital currencies in 2013.

Earlier this month, Susan Stoner Zook – previously an assistant for the US Republican party Senator Mike Crapo – has reportedly been recruited by Facebook to be a new member of the Libra stablecoin lobby team. Zook has been brought aboard Libra’s team as one of its new lobbyist, with the main focus is to get regulators to authorize Libra.
