The Sandbox Team Up With Warner Music Group to Establish Music-themed LAND

By Shannon Wilson | January 29, 2022

The Sandbox – the blockchain entity Amonica Brands’ subsidiary – reportedly forged an alliance with entertainment giant Warner Music Group to build a musical theme park and concert venue in the metaverse.

Specifically, The Warner Music Group LAND in The Sandbox is reportedly going to organize concerts and live experiences, with the participation of artists and talent to which WMG represents.

The project is reportedly a milestone marking Warner Music’ initial presence established in the NFT metaverse sphere. Its primary target is to build immersive social experiences which bring empowerment to Warner Music artists.

The Sandbox could reportedly offer artists an alternative engagement measure with their supporters, experiment with virtual entertainment, as well as generate new revenue streams while reaching a global community.

Sebastien Borget, the chief operations officer and co-founder of The Sandbox, reportedly stated that the newly formed alliance will “bring the open metaverse one step forward in the direction of fan-owned and community-driven initiatives.”

“We’re shaping The Sandbox as a fun entertainment destination where creators, fans, and players can enjoy first-of-a-kind immersive experiences and be more closely connected to their favorite musical artists through NFTs”.

Digital land is reportedly witnessing a steep climb in terms of demands, and the fact that the Sandbox possessing trading volume with a high consistency helped it emerge as a top contender for a rivalry with Decentraland.

Per the firm, The Sandbox is reportedly having plans down its pipeline to organize a LAND sale in March this year, in a bid to make it possible for music supporters to purchase LANDS adjacent to the WMG property.
