Will Samsung Galaxy S10 Come With a Crypto Wallet?

Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S10 recently appears to have leaked one of its distinctive features, the Samsung Blockchain KeyStore app. Gregory Blake posted the leaked images and screenshots on his Twitter on January 23.

As shown in the newly leaked images, the alleged Galaxy S10 appears to provide customer with “Samsung Blockchain Private KeyStore” which is described as a secure way to manage blockchain private keys. The leaked images also revealed that Samsung users can import cryptocurrency from their existing crypto wallets or set up new ones on the device with this app.

If these images are genuine, Samsung will join HTC in becoming the first blockchain-compatible smart phones. Samsung has not any comment about the leak as the company will officially confirm all features on February 20.

In December 2018, The Crypto Sight reported that Samsung had filed a trademark for a cryptocurrency wallet in the UK. The company cited that their developments as  a “computer software for cryptocurrency transfer and payment using blockchain technology; Computer application software for smartphones, namely, software to allow users to transfer cryptocurrency based on blockchain technology and pay via 3rd party’s application software.”
