Congressional Assistant Ron Hammond recently announced via a tweet that he has joined Ripple as the new manager of government relations.

Before joining Ripple, Ron Hammond was part of the team that craft the Token Taxonomy Act. The bill is made to provide the introduction of regulatory certainty in the US blockchain industry for businesses and regulators, as well as excluding cryptocurrencies from classification as securities.

Hiring new Manager of Government Relations, XRP Daily stated:

“Ripple works with more than 50 governments around the world and now somebody from the U.S. Government is managing the government relations at Ripple, which is awesome. Glad to see Ron Hammond join the team and help build the internet of value.”

Earlier, RippleNet has reportedly given Xendpay the ability to offer its money transfer services in many currencies. Xendpay will be utilizing the wide array of banks in the RippleNet, along with numerous financial institutions, to transfer money through different types of crypto and fiat currencies – including Ripple’s XRP.
