New Blockchain Center Opened in Boston University Campus by Turkish University

A new blockchain center within the Boston’s Northeastern University (NEU) campus, has been inaugurated by the Turkish Bahçeşehir University (BAU).

The new centre – dubbed BAU–NEU blockchain Laboratory – aimed to not only provide extensive informational knowledge in the blockchain field for the American university, but also to utilize the fund, received from the U.S, the E.U and the Turkish government, to further reinforce Turkey’ stance in the blockchain market, as well as to attract experts easier.

Enver Yücel – Chair of the BAU Board of Trustees – remarked on the announcement that, he would want to collaborate with the Turkish Exporter Assembly for his blockchain-related master and doctoral education programs.

“[Blockchain] will directly change all sectors from logistics to trade, from education to health, from energy to agriculture where we need to keep our products and people’s information in a safe environment.” Bora Erdamar, director of BAU’s blockchain IST Center – the first university-based established in Turkey in 2018 – further expressed.

Blockchain technology has been expanding its reach to the education field lately. Yonsei University and Pohang University of Science and Technology – 2 major universities in South Korea – announced their partnership to design a brand new blockchain Campus – aimed to lead blockchain research among universities, reported by The Crypto Sight on April 15.
