Indian Crypto Banking Platform Cashaa Initiate Plans to Offer Food Supplies For Pandemic Victims

By Natalie Wu | May 19, 2021

Cashaa – an India-based crypto banking platform with local offices throughout the nation – is reportedly carrying out an initiative, gathering the help of crypto enthusiasts to offer supplies for the global pandemic victims.

Specifically, as revealed by Casha, the platform’s “Crypto for COVID” plan reportedly outlined details of setting up a community of crypto users, who will offer month-long food supplies for individuals affected by the pandemic.

As included in the project, Cashaa’s team is reportedly also rolling out curated ration kits, dedicated to keeping four-member families fed for a maximum of a fortnight.

Founder and current Head of Cashaa, Kumar Gaurav, reportedly revealed the serious situation the country is in at the moment, with over 12,000 individuals suffering from hunger every day, with the surging poverty and disruptions in India’s transportation infrastructure, making it hard for the food supply chain to make it to numerous rural communities.

Per Gaurav, the initiative has reportedly offered its assistance to households located in the northern India state of Rajasthan, with over 150 deceased on a daily basis, and has spread to the state of Uttar Pradesh and the Nepal-bordering state of Bihar. The neobank is having plans to feed 100,000 families as soon as possible.

“While COVID warriors are fighting the disease, a parallel action needs to be taken to catalyse the survival of the ones dealing with the issues that come along with this pandemic. It is impossible for one organisation, or government to serve all. Hence, there will always be a need for one more initiative to make a little more difference, for the very survival of all.” Gaurav reportedly remarked.
