The Dash platform has reportedly revealed details regarding the rollout of DashDirect – a consumer app supporting DASH crypto coin-enabled payments throughout stores in the US.

Specifically, Dash reportedly disclosed that the freshly released customer-centric app will offer a maximum of 12% in savings on purchases by users.

Providing a further look into the rebates and discount features, Marshall Greenwald, DashDirect Founder and Head of CrayPay, reportedly remarked that upon filling in the precise amount of the client’s current purchase in the app, a maximum discount of 12% will be instantly applied.

“This allows anyone to spend Dash for everyday purchases as easily as using USD, but with the added protections of decentralized money and the added value of 5% average savings due to Dash’s efficient, low-cost transactions and DashDirect’s unique merchant network.”

The app will reportedly roll out facilitating features for Dash-enabled payments across preferred retail outlets throughout the US, nominally Best Buy, Staples, Chipotle, Home Depot, among others.

Per Greenwald, despite the scope of the initial DashDirect rollout being limited within the US territory, demands for the app from foreign nations have been acknowledged.

“We will need to expand our merchant network to include merchants in any given region along with adding localized currency conversion and language support,” Greenwald claimed.

According to the DashDirect Founder, the app reportedly functions in a non-custodial manner, which means the control over Dash tokens when interacting with the app will still be within users’ possession.
