Crypto ATM Installations Worldwide Witnessed 70% Growth In 2021

An accumulative figure of more than 10,000 new crypto ATMs have reportedly been installed throughout the globe, with America taking the leading spot. 

Specifically, the drive for completing crypto ATMs installation process worldwide has reportedly been growing strongly, together with crypto adoption momentum, which has been going on for ten years. 

According to insights generated by Coin ATM Radar, crypto ATMs installations within this year have reportedly experienced a 71.73% jump, shooting up to 24,030 from the starting point of 13,993 on January 1st. 

In 2020, the installation figure around the world reportedly went up to hit 13,993 ATMs, representing a 119.56% spike, with an addition of 7,620 new machines. So far, the overall number of ATM machines that are normally operational in 2021 has reached 10,037. For a better visualization of the development, installations for ATMs are being finalized at the speed of approximately 52.3 ATMs daily. 

The US is reportedly taking the top position in the race, having carried out the installation for around 48 ATMs on a daily basis, as inferred from data taken in the last seven days. The US-based ATM count went through an incline of 177% in under a year, standing at 16,835.

Crypto ATMs are reportedly accessible throughout 75 sovereign countries, and are powered by 42 producers. Genesis Coin is the dominating force across the sphere, taking up 40.9% market share, while General Bytes has possession of nearly 24% of the market. 

The remaining 35% of the market is spread throughout different entities, nominally BitAccess, Coinsource and Bitstop.

Bitcoin Depot, a Bitcoin ATM network behemoth, has reportedly formed an alliance with Circle K to install over 700 crypto ATMs across the U.S. and Canada.
