By Natalie Wu | April 19, 2019

The world’s leading crypto website CoinMarketCap has recently announced the releasing of the new version of its app, which is featuring price tracking as well as user accounts, via a tweet this week.

In order to use the app, users are required to log in to their CoinMarketCap account, and from then subscribe to various news outlets along with compare prices of different cryptocurrencies.

Per the website, the app will provide you with descriptions, candlestick charts, daily historical OHLCV data, and the option to turn on prices alert for all 16,000+ crypto markets from CoinMarketCap.

Last autumn, CoinMarketCap introduced a paid API aiming at funds and developers. With a monthly fee, users will be able to track crypto-based cognate markets, support for futures, options and off-exchange trading.

A month ago, the company also announced the releasing of its two crypto benchmark, which was listed on the Nasdaq Global Index Data Service, Bloomberg Terminal, Thomson Reuters Eikon and Börse Stuttgart.

Earlier this year, the crypto data tracker made an effort to alter its listing metrics for cryptocurrency exchanges after research stated that most of the crypto exchange volumes are fake. CoinMarketCap has added a new rating system called Fundamental Crypto Asset Score (FCAS) to its site.

In honor of the site 5th birthday, the iOS app was launched last May. At that time CoinMarketCap was ranked 175th in the world for most trafficked sites but is now settled at place 482nd, at the time of writing.
