Republican Congressman Pete Sessions from Texas has reportedly shared his belief via a statement, claiming that Bitcoin mining will have a positive effect on not only Texas but also the whole nation.

Specifically, The Texan representative, an advocator of BTC mining, reportedly took to Twitter on March 22 that “Bitcoin Mining will play a critical role in rebuilding energy independence in the USA.”

The statement he made reportedly received controversial reactions from both supporters and critics. Wyoming’s Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis was one of the names that threw her weight behind the claim, via replying with “Indeed”.

Both regulators have reportedly been voicing out their support towards policies that fast-track innovations across the crypto sphere, not just for miners.

With consumers in America going through a surge in gas prices because of the recent heat from the Russia and Ukraine incident, the debate has shifted primarily towards the way the nation can cut down its dependence on external energy sources.

Sessions’ view emphasized a growing compilation of research, which pointed to a claim that innovations from the BTC mining sphere may result in global applications in industrial energy consumption and production.

With Texas making a contribution of more than 14% of the country’s overall Bitcoin hash rate, the stability of the state’s electrical grid and the environmental impact of miners have come to the forefront of growing criticism, as it has in other mining hubs throughout the globe.

Regardless of these concerns, many researchers have reportedly recommended that the rising mining market in Texas may potentially bring down its net environmental effect and energy demands on the public energy grid.
