By Natalie Wu | August 14, 2022

Binance reportedly revealed that its Binance Card will come with facilitating features for three extra altcoins, granting access to holdings of Ripple (XRP), Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Avalanche (AVAX).

Specifically, The Binance Card reportedly makes it possible for its holders to “convert and spend cryptocurrencies in over 60 million online and physical stores.”

Nonetheless, the card will be rolled out particularly to clients based in the EU region, and as revealed via the website, Ukrainian refugees. Before the conflict in Ukraine eslates, Binance had plans down its pipeline to widen the scope of its card to cover Ukraine by sometime in 2022.

With this freshly rolled out facilitating feature, the card will have supports 14 cryptocurrencies, including Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), BNB, Bitcoin (BTC), Binance USD (BUSD), Polkadot (DOT), Ether (ETH), S.S. Lazio Fan Token (LAZIO), FC Porto Fan Token (PORTO), Santos FC Fan Token (SANTOS), SHIB, Swipe (SXP), Tether (USDT) and Ripple (XRP).

New additions to the supported crypto will reportedly not bring any adjustments to the existing payment preferences for those already using the Binance Card.

This newly surfaced update was released one day following Binance’s announcement of its alliance with Mastercard to make prepaid cards available in Argentina. The two financial service entities will collaborate to work towards the goal of widening the scope of payment possibilities to Binance users in the nation.

Customers living in Argentina will have the ability to use BTC and BNB, along with other cryptocurrencies, for purchases and withdrawals wherever Mastercard is accepted.

In early 2022, Wirex reportedly included AVAX to its already large list of currency offerings on its crypto card. The platform offers users the ability to pay in 61 different currencies, both fiat and cryptocurrencies.
