The US SEC has reportedly agreed on a financial agreement, worth millions of dollars, with PlexCorps and its CEO – Dominique Lacroix – along with her associate Sabrina Paradis-Royer, regarding a fraudulent ICO.

Specifically, The US SEC has filed its official settlement decision with a Brooklyn U.S. District Court on August 12. Per the document, an amount of $7 million will be covered by the defendants as a fine in the settlement.

The SEC claimed that Dominique and Sabrina has successfully secured an amount of $8,269,218 via the PlexCoin ICO funding round. The settlement added that over half of the money raised (55%) by the ICO – nearly $4.5 million – will go into payment, since the commission believed said sum is approximately what the pair earned via the funding round.

Furthermore, Lacroix and Paradis-Royer are also obligated to cover the civil penalties – which reaches up to $1 million – as well as the additional $348,145.25 for prejudgment interest. The total amount of fine the pair received, after having been rounded up, stands at roughly $7 million.

Per the agreement, Lacroix will be prohibited from taking the role of a officer or director of any public establishment, and the pair will be banned, from this point onward, from taking part in any future digital securities offerings.
