UFC Fighters Receiving BTC-based Bonuses For Upcoming PPV Events

Bitcoin (BTC) will reportedly be included in the list of viable options for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighters to receive fan bonuses. via a new alliance forged with Crypto.com.

Specifically, the three fighters ranking the highest in the pay-per-view (PPV) event will reportedly have their fan bonuses paid out in crypto, with the assistance from UFC’s official cryptocurrency platform partner, Crypto.com. 

A total of three Bitcoin fan bonuses of the night ranging from $10,000 to $30,000 will reportedly be available for giving out. 

Supporters throughout the globe will reportedly have the ability to vote for the BTC bonuses of the night via the official Crypto.com website on the day of the event.

Details related to the first Bitcoin fan bonus will be disclosed during the upcoming UFC 273: Volkanovski vs The Korean Zombie PPV event, which commenced to happen on April 9th. The Bitcoin fan bonus will be an addition to the traditional Fight of the Night and Performance bonuses awarded to UFC athletes.

Sports and crypto have reportedly been a combination that helps one another grow exponentially throughout the last few years, with numerous high-profile sporting firms and events forging alliances with emerging crypto tech. 

Operating as a sporting brand on an international scale, UFC was among the pioneers to carry out the integration of crypto-powered promotions, and even inked a $175-million sponsorship deal with Crypto.com in July 2021.
