Tether Rolled Out Crypto & Blockchain Education Program In Switzerland

By Warren Hayes | May 21, 2022

Switzerland’s southern city of Lugano is reportedly going to organize an institute concentrating on blockchain and crypto, as included within the scope of an alliance between the local government and Tether (USDT).

Specifically, Tether and Lugano reportedly revealed their plan to roll out the Plan ₿ Summer School, in a bid to “bring blockchain and crypto education to the masses.”

The education facility is reportedly included within the scope of Tether’s “Plan ₿” initiatives with the Swiss city, which include turning Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT) and the LVGA token into legal tender in the area.

As disclosed via the web page of the institute, the program – which lasts for a fortnight – will reportedly begin in July, which sees different big names being the making their presence as speakers, nominally Blockstream CEO Adam Back and Tether and Bitfinex chief technical officer Paolo Ardoino.

Topics include basic introductions to stablecoins and cryptocurrencies, together with blockchain analysis and regulatory policy associated with virtual assets.

“As adoption continues to drive participation in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, it is essential that educational institutions are put into place to help better inform not only traders and investors but future business owners looking to implement these financial tools into their everyday lives,” Ardoino additionally remarked.

With the co-organizing support of Franklin University Switzerland (FUS), as well as the assistance from Università della Svizzera Italiana and FUS’ Taylor Institute, the Plan ₿ school program works towards a primary goal of providing sufficient skills in the crypto asset sphere for the new generation of workers.

Other nations that adopt a pro-crypto attitude including El Salvador – where BTC has managed to become a legal tender since September last year – have reportedly rolled out education facilities of the same kind in a bid to amplify adoption.
