Solana Spaces Store Introducing 100K to Solana Monthly, Revealed CEO

Head of Solana Spaces Vibhu Norby reportedly revealed that offline Solana stores will roll out a maximum of 100,000 people monthly to the Solana ecosystem. 

Specifically, taking advantage of a grant from the Solana Foundation, the initial Solana Spaces shop opened in the swanky Hudson Yards New York shopping center on July 27th. 

Norby, in his explanations he offered regarding the ongoing concern from the community regarding an impromptu Twitter AMA on the release date, reportedly stated that the store will serve the purpose of providing knowledge to new users, regarding the way to use decentralized applications (DApps). 

Norby additionally noted that the project had plans down its pipeline to onboard thousands of people into the Solana blockchain, and to set up a virtual storefront down the road. 

“I don’t think people realize this but we’re going to bring 50 to 100,000 people into Solana every month through these stores — and that’s just this year.”

Norby also revealed that the shop currently caters to 400 visitors, sharing hints that new United States-headquartered physical stores were in the development process, and that “the store was designed for people who are brand new to blockchain.”

At the moment, Solana is functioning as a host ecosystem to more than a thousand DApps, ranging from trading platforms, gaming, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to social media.

Although in theory, the store operates as a place selling a limited series of Solana-powered merchandise, it primarily functions as a retail-as-a-service tutorial hub, in which new users receive free instructional sessions regarding the measure to set up a crypto wallet and link to different DApps. 

“It’s not a store designed to be a place where you buy things. It’s a store designed to be an educational experience. We do sell merch, Solana socks and hoodies, and other fun things, but that isn’t the main point of it.”
