Samsung Galaxy S10 to Support Bitcoin and Ethereum

As soon as Samsung Galaxy S10’s cold wallet was introduced, this function may support at least 4 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), announced by a Samsung representative at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain on Feb. 25.

According to its presentation in Barcelona, the first four cryptocurrencies to be supported are Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Cosmee (COSM) and Enji (ENJ). COSMEE is a blockchain-based beauty content sharing dApp (decentralized application), which allows people to earn COSM tokens by writing beauty reviews.

COSMEE has confirmed to be Samsung’s DApp partner, which is supported by the new release smartphone. Meanwhile, an Ethereum-based digital currency for gamers Enji, will be installed in the Galaxy S10 as a cryptocurrency wallet.

Samsung is among a few companies to apply blockchain to phone-related business, and its presence in the field would push others to advance their technology also. For example, reported by Cointelegraph, HTC Exodus is only available to be pre-ordered and purchased by cryptocurrency from October last year, while web browser Opera app can turn any Android phones into a cold wallet to hold the keys to your digital tokens.
