The Sacramento Kings – a professional basketball club playing in the NBA – has reportedly teamed up with CryptoKaiju to introduce its own crypto-collectables.

As stated via a press release on October 16, the Sacramento Kings will begin doing business with the firm behind Ether-powered Kaiju toys – Cryptokaiju. As part of the collaboration, 100 limited-edition Kaiju collectable toys has been authorized as giveaway prize for the 2019–2020 NBA season.

Every collectable will be supported by a non-fungible token, which means there is no duplicate. 15 of these toys also has unique rewards, nominally courtside seats, VIP tours or signed souvenirs, and many more.

“We are thrilled to bring these unique, limited-edition collectables and immersive experience to our fans. We are always looking for ways to be on the leading edge of enhancing fan interaction, and this partnership with CryptoKaiju is an exciting opportunity to continue to employ technology that delivers innovative products and content to our fans.” Sacramento Kings CTO Ryan Montoya remarked.

The news came not long after the announcement of a built-in blockchain-based reward system in the gaming app Call the Shot, scheduled to be rolled out in the next season.
