Manchester City Entered New Sponsorship Partnership With Crypto Exchange OKX

By Warren Hayes | July 14, 2022

Crypto exchange OKX reportedly disclosed the success status of its new partnership with English Premier League club Manchester City to be the team’s training kit sponsor for the 2022-23 season.

Specifically, regardless of bearish movements across the market, initiatives for crypto and sports collaborations still witnessed strong development, with another EPL football club Everton also recently entered a match kit sponsorship deal with crypto gambling entity Stake.

At the same time, PSG has reportedly also introduced preseason nonfungible token (NFT) tickets.

The OKX deal will reportedly help reel in an increasing sum of attention on company branding, taking into account that Manchester City was the winner of the EPL last season and is putting extensive efforts in the transfer market.

As included in the scope of the deal, OKX’s logo will be visible on both the men’s and the women’s training gear until mid-2023, with existing previews showing OKX’s name on the front of training shirts in the lower chest area.

Moreover, OKX claimed that it had tapped well-known street artist Akse P19 and the Global Street Art Agency to come up with four artworks throughout Manchester which come with QR codes, scannable by supporters for an opportunity to snatch season tickets in the OKX Hospitality Box.

The street art pieces depict players such as Haaland, Jack Grealish, João Cancelo and John Stones.

The duo has reportedly been engaging in an alliance since March this year, following a development that had OKX becoming Manchester City’s official cryptocurrency exchange partner via a new deal. They have also hinted that extra Web3-centric fan engagement experiences will be released.

OKX was established in 2017 and is headquartered in the Republic of Seychelles. The firm boasted a figure of over 20 million customers throughout the world from nearly 180 international markets. It supports trading on top assets like Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Polkadot (DOT) and Cardano (ADA).
