Cryptocurrencies Bring No Significant Harm to Financial Stability, German Central Bank Rep Claimed

Boerse Stuttgart Group, the second largest German stock exchange, has officially launched a mobile app for crypto-trading called “Bison app”.

In a press release on January 31th, Boerse Stuttgart announced that Bison app is currently available for iOS and Android users in Germany. At the moment, the app provides free-of-charge trading in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple (XRP). It also allows users to fund their accounts with euros via a built-in wallet for storing cryptocurrencies.

Dr. Ulli Spankowski, CEO of Sowa Labs GmbH, the subsidiary of Boerse Stuttgart Group said that “It only takes a few minutes for users to register and prove their identity by video-identification”. The trading time is reportedly between 6 a.m. and midnight CET, from Monday to Sunday.

Boerse Stuttgart Group has partnered with financial services provider EUWAX AG to conduct the trades. They have also partnered with SolarisBank, an external banking partner, to ensure payment processing and the custody of customers’ cash deposits in Euro.

Dr. Spankowski revealed that additional functions for Bison would be gradually added after the launch, including “extension of trading to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and additional trading functionalities”.

In 2019, Bitson is expected to be available to residents of other European countries.
