Refereum – a US-based, blockchain-powered rewards and marketing firm – has reportedly formed a collaboration with a South Korean online game designing company to widen its in-game reward system.

Reported via a blog post on July 23, Refereum – a firm that employs its in-house RFR token as a means of payment for its clients – claimed that the new feature is available for anyone who plays Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds – a game created by PUBG. This is one of the most famous Xbox-based games, with an estimated sales figures of more than 8 million.

The new feature will provide a never-before-seen reward system for Refereum, enabling players to acquire tokens via finishing in-game quests, together with completing related jobs, for example, marketing.

“Gamers do so much free marketing for games through streaming services and social media, but they’re rarely compensated sufficiently for it,” Refereum CEO Dylan Jones claimed.

The initial project will last until the 20th of August. RFR – an altcoin closely associated with gaming, has not made any remarks regarding the announcement.

Gaming has gradually becoming a highly profitable blockchain-incorporated industry. Earlier July, Alexis Ohanian – Reddit co-founder – has reportedly invested $3.75 million via a funding in a blockchain-based game studio.
