Non-fungible token-specialised investment entity Polyient Games is reportedly releasing a new online tournament, dedicated to bringing mainstream gamers to the crypto sphere.

Specifically, Polyient Games reportedly claimed that it will form an alliance with esports tournament platform Community Gaming for a $100,000 series, which comes with games facilitating the use of NFTs.

The esports games will reportedly “function as a method of introducing mainstream gamers to the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain assets”, via supporting the acquisition of collectibles and use NFTs as in-game items for players.

“The marriage between decentralized technology and gaming will be one of the most significant themes of the coming decade,” Craig Russo, co-founder of Polyient Games, reportedly remarked.

he further added that the Polyient-Community Gaming collaboration for this new decentralized tournament series will reportedly mark a significant development, regarding the adoption rate of crypto across the gaming sector.

Apart from esports games, the tournament will reportedly feature numerous blockchain games, including trading and battling game Axie Infinity and Ethereum-powered crypto trading card game SkyWeaver.

Every game will reportedly be utilizing Polyient-built decentralized exchange for in-game currencies.

The first event of the $100,000 tournament will reportedly be initiated on March 29th, with prizes will be given out in U.S. dollars and Polyient Games’ native token, PGU.
