Crypto Accepted As Payment Option Following Shopify-CoinPayments Partnership

Synthetix Unveiled New decentralized Asset Management Platform Out of Stealth Mode

Canada-based e-commerce heavyweight Shopify has reportedly collaborated with crypto payment processing platform CoinPayments, in an attempt for a strengthened crypto payment feature. 

Specifically, the partnership will enable Shopify users to utilize the features of CoinPayments’ digital asset payment processing platform, as an initiative for preparing sellers to add 1,800 crypto coins to the list of available payment methods. 

“Shopify is a natural fit for us. As they look to bring new features to their merchant base and CoinPayments works to drive cryptocurrency adoption globally, it makes sense to create an integration that enables easy, secure, and cost-effective transactions.”

Shopify has previously disclosed plans for crypto payment compatibility, before the alliance forged with CoinPayments, through Coinbase Commerce, BitPay and GoCoin. 

The collaboration has reportedly been finalized following a successful testing phase conducted by both parties, initiated at the start of last year, to test how different markets respond to its project. 

The beta trial process involved a full functionality and security test with live merchant interactions before becoming publicly available to the entire Shopify platform.” Butcher reportedly remarked.
