C3N Employed Tezos Blockchain Smart Contract For Judicial Expenses Validation

By Natalie Wu | November 22, 2019

The French Armies and Gendarmerie’s Information and Public Relations Center has reportedly finalized validating process for costs generated from investigations using the Tezos (XTZ) blockchain

Stated in a press release on November 20, the agency, “C3N” in short, has utilized the platform for finalizing their digital coins purchases from Europol-allocated funds, in an attempt to pay for above-mentioned expenses.

Nomadic Labs -Tezos primary research & development institution – revealed that the platform used “the first smart contract ever developed by a public authority”, which provided facilitation for C3N to finalize their transactions.

With the involvement of a blockchain-powered update, administration and procedures can be simplified and funds can be audited and traceable.

The smart contract which helped the system functionally operable can only be interacted with by entities with authorization, allowing C3N to pay for the cost without revealing details to its operations.

Blockchain is gathering an increasing level of interests from authorities. At Blockshow Asia 2019, blockchain is said to be able to provide ecosystem connectivity, via data sharing in a trustless, decentralized way that can give way to a new form of governance.
