Brazilian University USP to Carry Out Studies Into the Metaverse

Brazilian university USP is reportedly looking to conduct important studies into matters related to psychology, human behavior and augmented reality inside the metaverse – a hot aspect of crypto

Specifically, the metaverse-focused study will be conducted by research groups sharing an interest in 3D modeling, psychology and human behavior, and the effectiveness of virtual and augmented reality devices. 

The above study domains will reportedly undergo evaluations within the context of the metaverse, in order to grasp a better understanding of the way the new virtual world having an effect on user interactions.

USP professor Marcos A. Simplicio Jr. reportedly emphasized that this is the first time USP had received a nonfungible token (NFT) through a collaboration. The associated token is a rare piece of land in the United States of Mars (USM) metaverse, currently in the process of constructions, via a partnership with other universities.

“USP is the first university in Latin America to have a partnership with USM to support the construction of its metaverse,” Simplicio additionally claimed.

The alliance will initially include a partnership with researchers, rooted from an ongoing agreement dubbed “the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI)”, with Ripple being the sponsoring entity.

opportunities associated with the metaverse were among the discussions at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting, which concluded on May 26th.

Particularly, the panel, which went by the name “The Possibilities of the Metaverse”, reportedly deep-dove into the way metaverse technologies can be utilized for streamlining children’s learning.

The panel featured Philip Rosedale, co-founder of High Fidelity; Pascal Kaufmann, founder of Mindfire Foundation; Peggy Johnson, CEO of Magic Leap; Hoda AlKhzaimi, assistant research professor at New York University, Abu Dhabi and Edward Lewin, vice president of Lego Group.
