Brave Disclosed Details of Plans For DEX Aggregator And NFT Wallet In Next Browser

By Natalie Wu | March 15, 2021

Crypto-based web browser, Brave, has reportedly disclosed details regarding its “Roadmap 2.0” – initiatives preparing for the release of supporting features for an integrated DEX aggregator and NFT

Specifically, Brave’s new roadmap reportedly emphasized on the firm’s target to complete the integration of DeFi functionality in its wallet, as well as deep-diving into scaling solutions for the initiative.

Brave’s new Ethereum-native wallet will reportedly come with facilitating features for “DeFi and NFT use-cases,” apart from rolling out mobile support and enhanced API features.

The planned DEX aggregator will reportedly look to use discounts as a reward mechanism for BAT token holders – which can be applied for BAT-enabled transaction charges, or keep the token in their wallets.

Brave is reportedly exploring facilitating features for assets throughout numerous chains, noting it will also weigh the option of both layer-one and layer-two scaling solutions, which help with mitigation of the high fees occurred when using the Ethereum mainnet.

Brave reportedly further expects to widen the scope of BAT utilities across the decentralized web, including designing support for the token in the context of e-commerce, VPNs, search engines, and file sharing.

The team also claimed that it will put in extensive efforts to interact with its community, including organizing regular AMAs with its team members, making the “BAT Ambassadors program” available, together with carrying out the translation of content into a wide variety of languages.

Since its roll-out in October 4 years ago, Brave has reportedly been able to gain over 8 million day-to-day active users and 25 million users on a month-on-month basis, with the figure of its user base grew twice, size-wise, in 2020.
