Crypto exchange heavyweight Binance has reportedly made the Bitcoin (BTC) options feature available across its futures trading platform on April 13th.

Specifically, the options feature – which has been released for Binance’s mobile-based environment for now – will reportedly enable traders to execute “a call option” (to purchase), or “a put option” (to sell) of a particular asset, for a detailed “strike price.”

Binance is reportedly rolling out a US clients-focused derivative version, with distinctive differences, which allows users to conduct activities according to their rights, for example, settle the contract at the selected strike price, at any given point of time prior to or on the expiration time.

As for Binance’s options contracts for BTC/Tether (USDT), an inter-wallet transaction needs to occur, from spot to their futures one, regarding the USDT assets in their possession, and select the period for expiration, with available options is from 10 minutes to up to 1 day.

Binance has reportedly further revealed that before executing any transactions, a fixed value premium fee is required to be paid, thus netting all prospective profits on trades, for instance, profits without the premium.

“There is no guarantee that your options purchase will execute at a profit after the premium has been deducted. Most options purchases will not be profitable, but a minority will be very profitable. Please use it at your own discretion.”
