By Natalie Wu | November 30, 2020

Beowulf Blockchain, the pioneer of the decentralized cloud network for communication services, announced it has become the premier technology partner in providing a comprehensive video conferencing platform for large-scale events within the framework of TECHFEST 2020 – Vietnam’s biggest national event for the business and startup community.

TECHFEST 2020 was organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology in coordination with other Government Ministries, Agencies, and socio-political organizations. This is the biggest annual event for the innovative start-up community in Viet Nam, including High-Level Policy Dialogue in which Vietnam’s Prime Minister held a discussion forum focusing on how TECHFEST’s startups and businesses can stay ahead amid the global disruption caused by the COVID-19 epidemic.

Spanning the five years from 2015 until the present, TECHFEST Vietnam 2020 was held from November 27th to 29th, which attracted the participation of more than 20,000 attendees, due to the introduction of the first-ever video conferencing sessions powered by QUICKOM. By providing a comprehensive technology platform for a series of large-scale conferences and forums, in-depth workshops, investment matching activities connecting resources in different economic sectors, QUICKOM has empowered TECHFEST 2020 to open up opportunities for organizations from all corners of the globe to share extraordinary moments and shape industry innovation.

As part of the technology cooperation, Beowulf and TECHFEST 2020 also jointly deployed the QUICKOM Call Center into all virtual exhibition sessions. QUICKOM Call Center provides a new and modern take on call center software, and has become the most compelling option for thousands of contact centers looking to improve systems to better integrate customer communications, and build management and professional operations teams, while at the same time, efficiently serving hundreds of thousands of customers.

Buoyed by this new addition to the technology stack, Dr. Pham Hong Quat, Director General of National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development is confident about the success of this year’s event.

“TECHFEST aims to be a truly global event, unique in its scale and audience diversity,” said Dr. Pham Hong Quat. “With QUICKOM as the technology partner, we’re able to host a series of events that help double down on results-driven content to help business leaders gain and maintain a competitive edge, by allowing attendees from around the world to participate easily, with unmatched quality and connectivity,” he continued.

QUICKOM by Beowulf is widely known for organizing organization’s best remote videoconferencing-based events and bringing together hundreds of thousands of industry leaders to collaborate on a large scale across a broad range of use cases. QUICKOM enables event organizers to maximize the impact of large-scale events by hosting turn-key, dynamic video conferencing experiences for up to 5,000 participants in one session, while enabling real-time interpretation on a cross-platform application enhanced with smart interactive features. Users can join a conference easily by clicking on the provided link, or scanning a unique QR code using their phone’s camera without the need for any other application.

The platform has been used as the premier technology partner to host over 1,000 events engaging with approximately 100,000 participants. In Vietnam alone, it has hosted major large-scale events, including notable ones connecting governmental officials and world-leading professionals across different time zones.

“Delivering a video conferencing experience that is as engaging as one hosted in the real world is definitely a challenge. With Beowulf and our QUICKOM platform, we are not only achieving this goal but exceeding expectations due to the engagement with our technology, which has allowed organizers get the evolved toolset they need for this shifting paradigm: an engaging digital video experience that audiences are familiar with and enjoy, while also coupled with unparalleled ease of use and connectivity,” said Dr. William H. Nguyen, Beowulf’s CEO and Founder.

As the hub for the emerging FinTech community both in Vietnam and internationally, the conference titled “Vietnam’s FinTech Development in Turbulent Times” was held within the framework of TECHFEST 2020 in collaboration with other ministries and socio-economic organizations. Dr. William H. Nguyen, CEO and Founder of Beowulf Blockchain, attended the forum as a panelist where he discussed the future of banking, where decentralized finance is headed in the near future, and how the blockchain has already deeply impacted the finance space.
