Alchemy Rolled Out Supporting Features For Solana-based Web3 Apps Regardless Of Haltings

By Shannon Wilson | April 9, 2022

Web3 development platform and infrastructure provider Alchemy is reportedly rolled out supporting features for Solana-based applications, regardless of the temporary halting on June 1st.

Specifically, the Solana blockchain reportedly experienced a temporary halting that lasted for about four hours on the first day of June, due to the presence of a bug rendering it impossible to reach network consensus.

This isn’t the first time the system went through compromisation, as normal features have been halted five times already in 2022.

Regardless, none posed a significant threat to Alchemy’s decision, which equip developers with the power to utilize its software and infrastructure in Solana-built applications.

With the now reported value reaching the $10.2 billion benchmark, the firm is the creating force behind a Web3 API dubbed “Alchemy Supernode”, as well as creating a development suite used for monitoring and debugging that went by the name “Alchemy Build”.

This software has obtained certified usefulness in the past, when scaling and monitoring, with a few of the firm’s major partners including initiatives such as nonfungible token marketplace OpenSea and liquidity protocol Aave (AAVE).

Francesco Agosti, chief technology officer and co-founder of Phantom, reportedly shared his company’s excitement regarding Alchemy’s Solana integration.

“Their infrastructure and product suite have a proven track record for performance benefits. This will be a game-changer for Phantom and any other Solana developers who choose to start using Alchemy.”

This new integration will reportedly serve as a sign that, regardless of recent outages and the price of Solana’s native SOL token slumping 85% from its the record-breaking high, the blockchain seems to still possess a high level of faith from developers, and so continues to be a valuable resource when building efficient Web3 applications.
