| 26-Th8-2022

More than two-thirds of parents and college graduates in America with crypto knowledge or association reportedly share a belief that crypto should be included in the school curriculum.

Specifically, as revealed via a freshly rolled out survey from the online educational platform Study.com, insights suggested that 64% of the parents and 67% of the college graduates participating in the survey shared a belief that cryptocurrencies should be included in mandatory education.

Both groups reportedly showed two points of view with slight distinctions regarding blockchain, the Metaverse, and NFTs. Nonetheless, approximately 40% believe those subjects should be included in the curriculum as well.

To participate in the survey, the parents and college grads underwent a screening process to make sure that the subjects possessed enough knowledge of blockchain tech, crypto, NFTs, and the Metaverse and disqualified individuals that could not grasp sufficient knowledge of the topics from participation.

The survey included 884 American parents and 210 American college graduates.

The outcome come amid the increasing awareness and adoption of cryptocurrencies in the United States. Per insights from the research facility Pew, approximately 88% of US citizens have at least heard of cryptocurrencies, while 16% of U.S. residents have made investments or traded cryptocurrencies at some point in their lives.

Insights from the survey uncovered that both parents and college graduates who had made investments in crypto share a likelihood to contribute money to crypto education, with three-quarters of crypto-holding parents contributing an average of $766 to their children’s crypto education, while over three-quarters of crypto-invested graduates were spending an average of $1,086 on education.
