Make Sense Labs, a decentralized application company receiving support from venture capitalist Tim Draper is reportedly rolling out crypto rewards earning features for users of its social messaging app.

Specifically, Make Sense reportedly disclosed the release of the crypto rewards feature across its Sense Chat app – built-in 2018.

The app reportedly facilitates the process of generating the firm’s native SENSE tokens for users, via conducting interactions with others online, subscribing to different channels, inviting new users, and creating message threads.

Crystal Rose Pierce – Head of Make Sense – reportedly revealed that the project was designed with a primary goal to get rid of the dependence on third-party data-harvesting entirely, normally related to top-tier social media and messenger firms, such as Facebook.

She reportedly claimed the app’s users will still have full control of their information while still keeping a sufficient level of privacy.

“We believe that a person’s data is uniquely their own, and the value of that data should be theirs. By using Sense Chat, members are empowered to have more control over their experience, reward one another, and curate content using their SENSE tokens as a ‘vote.’” Pierce further remarked.

Even messaging apps built with the target of protecting users’ privacy still underwent significant exploitation. In 2020, Telegram reportedly experienced a data leak which left some personal information vulnerable across the darknets.

While crypto-enabled donations are reportedly facilitated by messaging app Signal, Sense Chat may be among the selected privacy-oriented apps to make crypto rewards available.
