Refereum – a platform built on the blockchain that grants rewards for game playing and streaming activities – has reportedly formed an alliance with the renowned blockchain startup, Tron

Specifically, the partnership would see Tron’s TRX coin, along with and BitTorrent’s BTT token, become an accepted means of payment for the payout amount sent to individuals streaming video games on the platform.

Tron has previous finalized its acquisition of software firm BitTorrent Inc 2 years ago. BitTorrent utilized a crypto asset, built upon Tron’s blockchain, which goes by the name BTT. Refereum has also collaborated with DLive – a blockchain-based platform for streaming – towards the end of last year, to enable reward-collecting feature for video game live streamers.

To complete the collaboration network, Tron has made progress with DLive, by establishing an alliance with DLive and BitTorrent, in the last month of 2019.

Dylan Jones – head of Refereum – reportedly revealed that the firm specifically looks to offer an attempt at streamlining payment feature for game streaming spectators.

“It’s our hope that through this partnership with Tron and DLive we can make time at home more interesting for millions of people by offering rewards for watching game streams,”

“At DLive, we want to do our part in helping stop the spread and contain the coronavirus. Stay indoors, watch your favorite streamers on DLive, and earn rewards! Let’s have some fun and enjoy some great live-streaming content!” Charles Wayn – head of DLive – reportedly stated.
