Tezos has recently appointed Roman Schnider, an executive of PwC Switzerland blockchain division, to its chief financial officer (CFO) role.
Tezos is a platform specializing in decentralized applications and smart contracts, which provides a protocol governed by stakeholders. PwC is a global network of firms delivering world-class assurance, tax, and consulting services for businesses.
According to Tezos press release, the firm has been the first major blockchain project to be audited by PwC. Henceforth, it is said that Roman is already familiar with the financial and operational sides of Tezos. He has been employed in the Big Four firm for 15 years.
“As the foundation continues to provide resources to a growing Tezos ecosystem, the CFO and operations lead will be critical to our success. Roman’s experience makes him the ideal finance and operations specialist for our team. He is already familiar with the opportunities and challenges blockchain projects face and has a deep understanding of the Tezos Foundation from his time at PwC.” said Ryan Jesperson, the president of the Tezos Foundation.
Roman is appointed to the CFO role, which is claimed to “serve and support the Tezos community in the most effective, efficient and transparent way possible.”
In April, PwC has reportedly appeared to be on a hiring streak for blockchain related positions, if their vacancies for such jobs on global hiring portal Indeed are any indication to go by, ranking it tops compared to the other Big 4 firms.
