Sommelier, a co-processing protocol to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) – reportedly disclosed details regarding a formed research and development alliance with Mysten Labs.
Specifically, the partnership will reportedly be focusing primarily on amplifying liquidity transaction speeds as well as rolling out smart contract applications on the Cosmos blockchain.
Establish last year by Zaki Manian, a core developer on the Cosmos protocol, Sommelier reportedly operates as a test-net protocol, created with the main target of offering enterprise-grade automated financial transactions, nominally limit orders, batched orders and portfolio rebalancing to DeFi, traders and liquidity providers, LPs.
The blockchain – which blends the Tendermint consensus layer, Cosmos Stargate SDK, and dual-way Ethereum bridge – will reportedly collaborate with with Mysten, to complete the implementation of Move smart contract programming, to offer the entire of Cosmos developers from end to end, together with the ones on its Ethereum Gravity Bridge, with smart contract capabilities.
Mysten Labs reportedly functions as a Web 3.0 infrastructure platform established in 2021 with the efforts from the team of cryptographical program engineers, in charge of the blockchain architecture of Facebook’s crypto-payments platform Diem and its respective mobile wallet Novi.
Mysten’s expertise about the sector will reportedly offer assistance to the scaling of the Sommelier blockchain to 100,000 transactions per second, or TPS.
“What we are doing with this partnership is completing the work of unleashing Tendermint’s potential to be the fastest blockchain network in datacenter class environments”. Sommelier co-founder Zaki Manian shared remarks regarding the positive effect of the alliance.
