Enterprise blockchain and crypto solutions firm Ripple reportedly finalized the introduction of the Ripple Creator Fund in September last year.
Specifically, the project reportedly operates as a $250 million initiative devoted to equipping creators with the financial, creative and technical support required to design nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and other tokenization projects on the XRP Ledger.
On Oct. 18, Ripple reportedly revealed details regarding the second wave of creators to receive funding for their NFT initiatives via Ripple’s Creator Fund.
This round of funding was awarded to independent creators devoted to designing functional use cases in gaming and the Metaverse, together with music and media on the XRP Ledger.
This round of recipients included firms such as 9Level9 Productions, Anifie, Capital Block, NFT Avatar Maker, NFT Master, SYFR Projects and ThinkingCrypto.
Markus Infanger, vice president of RippleX Growth, addtionally state that Ripple selected initiatives that brought life to tokenization use cases – specifically, initiatives that offer functional utility, nominally access rights, ticketing and phygital items.
Per the vice president, Ripple aimed for ideas, teams and visions that has the most appropriate alignment with bringing innovation and creativity to NFTs that extend further than the confines of digital art.
Infanger also shared that, although Ripple’s Creator Fund is accessible to every kind of NFT projects, each wave of funding has a theme.
“This wave is focused on entertainment and media, specifically music. We want to provide support to indie creators with the technical, financial, and co-marketing support necessary to engage with their communities through NFTs.”
