The Recording Academy and OneOf – an NFT marketplace receiving support from legendary record producer Quincy Jones – have reportedly disclosed details of an exclusive with the Grammy Awards.
Specifically, the freshly formed alliance between the NFT platform and the Grammy will reportedly run for the next few years, with details visible on the Grammy’s website.
The specific information of the NFT collections will reportedly be rolled out in January but will be a celebration of both the awards themselves and nominees and recipients.
A part of the generated profit from the sale of the assets will be channeled towards financially supporting the Recording Academy scholarship fund.
OneOf – which was developed across the Tezos blockchain – was reportedly built with a primary target of catering to musicians and listeners in mind.
“As an Academy, we are always looking for ways to help artists discover new forms of creative expression, while also creating new ways of income generation and ways for fans to interact with the artists that they love. OneOf shares that vision, and we are proud to work with a sustainable NFT company.” Panos Panay, co-president of the Recording Academy, further remarked.
“If used to their full potential, NFTs will empower the music industry in a way few other technologies ever have. It is our great honor to work with this prestigious organization to help shepherd this bright future to the industry.” OneOf the co-founders Adam Fell, Joshua James, and Lin Dai jointly shared their excitement regarding the development.
OneOf was reportedly established in August this year and has since facilitated token drops for several big artists and entities in the industries, nominally Doja Cat, The Game, iHeartRadio Music Festival and Alesso.
