The Untold Festival – commenced to take place in Romania in September – has reportedly collaborated with the Elrond network to support crypto-enable purchases for concert tickets.

Specifically, Untold reportedly revealed that concert-goers can buy tickets for its 2021 festival via utilizing Elrond eGold (EGLD).

The festival reportedly disclosed that it has received the green light to host an unlimited number of party-goers, regardless of the ongoing global health crisis.

Together with the release for the ticket purchases with EGLD for Untold, Head of Elrond – Beniamin Mincu – additionally revealed that the initiative would be deep-diving into “a festival economy running on semi-fungible tokens”, along with artists introducing non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to supporters from the stage.

Nonetheless, Untold attendees will reportedly have the power to accept NFTs from the festival “at a later time.”

“Blockchain technology has immense potential for large gatherings of digital natives who for a brief period of time become part of a hyperlocal economy” Mincu further remarked.

Per Elrond, the associated fees of the EGLD-enabled ticket purchase finalization will reportedly be recorded on Untold balance sheets. Tickets can be bought for the starting price of 159 euros ($186) – approximately 1.37 EGLD at the time of publication.

Elrond will further have representatives at Untold, focusing on introducing the knowledge of crypto and blockchain to people attending the concerts.
