Expedia has reportedly teamed up with Crypto Service Travala.com to reportedly allow crypto-enabled payment method for booking, available for more than 700,000 accommodations.
Specifically, more than 700,000 accommodations will reportedly be rolled out across its crypto-based travel platform – at the moment reportedly offering more than 2 million options throughout 230 nations.
Alfonso Paredes – Senior Vice President at Expedia Group – reportedly revealed that the firm looks to build its Travala.com’s business at a greater speed than it is going currently.
Moreover, he reportedly shared that the company also took into account the innovation and how important it is to let users select the payment option they wish to go with.
The update was reportedly made possible via an alliance formed with a subsidiary of major traveling company Travala – with the name Expedia Partner Solutions (EPS). EPS reportedly provide Travala.com a gateway into its Rapid application programming interface, enabling the company to provide Expedia’s accommodations for its users.
In November last year, Travala.com has reportedly entered an agreement with Booking.com, to make more than 90,000 accommodations available across its platforms, which reportedly resulted in a 33% surge in revenue following the partnership.
