Voice – the social media platform developed by the firm behind EOS, Block.One – will reportedly be publicly released on July 4th.
Specifically revealed by head of Voice – Salah Zalatimo – the social media platform will be rolled out to users on Independence Day of the US, with content publishing or online engagement features are rolled out to anyone finished the registration process.
“We had been building towards a big reveal this fall, but, we simply can’t wait any longer. We need to take social back from big tech NOW.” Zalatimo reportedly claimed.
The platform has reportedly been going through beta test phase since 14th of February, with registration will be per requested up to August 15th, after that Voice users can send out invitations to friends to the platform.
Following its announcement to design a blockchain-powered social media platform, the firm that built EOSIO protocol (EOS) has reportedly made total investment of $100 million in cash and $50 million in intellectual property into Voice.
Block.One has reportedly also finalized the purchase of the voice.com domain name for $30 million.
Previously, Block.One has reportedly gotten a blockchain-based bidding solution for promotional exposure connected with popular social media posts patented, which is reportedly believed to be a Voice implementation.
