In its latest update, cryptocurrency publication CCN.com has announced that it no longer intends to shut down its operations.
Founder Jonas Borchgrevink said that he received hundreds of supportive emails through various mediums following the initial announcement that said that the website would be closing its doors due to a drastic drop in mobile traffic and Google visibility.
Borchgrevink said that he also received useful feedback from SEO experts and product experts in Google’s Webmasters Forum. He said that someone mentioned that CCN’s previous domain, CryptoCoinsNews.com was reappearing in Google searches.
“That was a massive surprise for us as I personally requested a domain name change in 2017 from CryptoCoinsNews.com to CCN.com. Since that change, ‘Cryptocoinsnews.com’ was effectively absent on Google. Now it’s back and is inexplicably using recent 2019 articles from CCN.com. This is abrupt and confusing,” he added.
Borchgrevink further said that the team is currently working to figure out and fix the issue that led to the drop in its visibility on Google.
“There’s still a good chance that this won’t correct our visibility on Google overnight, but I’m hopeful we are on the right path to figuring it out,” he said, adding:
“Enough said. CCN.com is back.”
