Craig Wright has been requested to present himself in person at mediation, to provide answers for accusations of him stealing 1.1 million Bitcoin (BTC) from Dave Kleiman.

According to a court document issued, Craig Wright – crypto enthusiast and self-proclaimed Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto – has asked the court to allow him to appear via video conference, with the reason that personally attending the courtroom would have brought upon him “unjustifiable hardship.”

However, in the latest update, the plaintiffs have dismissed his request, stating that the discovery, already performed so far in the lawsuit, has presented “sufficient information to fairly evaluate the claims at issue.” Beth Bloom – the judge in charge of the case – has reportedly agreed with the plaintiffs’ argument.

“Personal appearance by the parties will promote meaningful participation at mediation.” judge Bloom ruled.

Consequently, Craig Wright will now have to be at the next mediation session, which takes place on June 18th, in person.

Craig Wright has received allegations for stealing bitcoin from the residential property of David Kleinman – a crypto developer who has been deceased since 2013. The family of Kleinman reported that around 1.1 million BTC (equivalent to nearly $9 billion at press time) has illegally fallen into the hands of Wright.

Wright has made extensive effort to have the court drop the legal case. However, in December 2018, judge Bloom has ordered for the case to be proceeded.
