Canadian Taco Franchise Rolls Out New NFT Collection For Customer Loyalty Program

By | August 5, 2022

A Canada-based restaurant franchise is reportedly planning to transition their customer loyalty program onto blockchain via a new Tenacious Tacos NFT collection.

Specifically, having 19 locations throughout Canada and a plan to establish its presence across the United States, this $6 million taco franchise is looking to generate revenue from its developing customer base.

The collection, dubbed “Tenacious Tacos”, reportedly makes it possible for holders to receive both Web3 and real benefits. Furthermore, there will also be staking features available for nonfungible tokens (NFTs) to earn additional digital rewards for individuals looking to do so.

Per an official statement, staked Tenacious Tacos is reportedly redeemable for particular rewards, nominally the opportunity to win a lifetime of free food or monthly payouts in ETH/WETH.

Previously, Landry’s restaurant group, which includes Bubba Gump Shrimp Factory and Rainforest Cafe, reportedly rolled out a Bitcoin loyalty program. Nonetheless, for this specific case, clients had the ability to earn rewards in Bitcoin (BTC), such as $25 equivalent of Bitcoin for every $250 spent at one of many restaurants in the brand.

StrEAT’s measure simultaneously adds additional value to traditional loyalty programs and utility to NFTs.

“The vision with this project is to become closer with the community while simultaneously creating the opportunity for them to share in our growing success.” Joe Klassen, the current Head of Joey’s Group of Restaurants and founder of the Tenacious Tacos NFT initiative, reportedly emphasized the crucial role of their community.

The loyalty program’s real-life NFT benefits reportedly offer 20% off throughout every StrEATS location, VIP event access, and voting rights on new menu features.

In June 2022, the top-tier burrito and taco chain Chipotle reportedly released cryptocurrency payments throughout 3,000 locations across America. In July, the chain further disclosed details of a crypto giveaway to customers via a digital game.
