Jeff Garzik – a well-known software developer and Bitcoin (BTC) enthusiast – has been summoned to elaborate in front of the US District Course his association with the $4 billion lawsuit against Craig Wright, as updated via Garzik personal Twitter account.

Specifically, the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Florida has received a lawsuit submitted by the family of the David Kleiman – the computer engineer who is rumoured to be one of the founding members of Bitcoin and Blockchain technology – claiming that David’s former partner Craig Wright has allegedly stolen nearly 1.1 million BTC after David’s death.

Right after Kleinman passed away in 2013, Wright – who declared himself to be the anonymous Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto – came to David’s house, offering help to liquidize the computer scientist’s remaining sum of digital assets. However, David’s family members said that they’ve haven’t received any money from Wright ever since.

Wright was accused of forging “a series of contracts that purported to transfer Dave’s assets to Craig and/or companies controlled by him. Craig backdated these contracts and forged Dave’s signature on them”, as said in the complaint document. The Court has later denied Wright’s request to drop the charges against him.

Following the incident, Garzik has been subpoenaed to provide any proof that clarifies whether Kleinman is or is not Satoshi Nakamoto. Garzik has also been ordered to bring forward any legal papers, documents or communications that are potentially linked to Kleinman or Wright.

Moreover, the subpoena mentioned the Silk Road, Liberty Reserve,  Mt. Gox, and the Prometheus Project document and also requested Garzik to present every crypto mining activity from Jan 1st, 2009 to April 2013.

Garzik has also been demanded to supply any potential evidence of association with financial cryptographer Ian Grigg, CEO of Centre for Strategic Cyberspace and Security Science Richard Zaluski, early Bitcoin investor Roger Ver and a few others.
