Craig Wright Could Lose 50% of Bitcoin in Kleiman Case

| 27-Th8-2019

The long-lasting legal battle between Craig Wright – an Australian crypto enthusiast and self-proclaimed Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto – and the estate of computer scientist David Kleiman is seemingly turning to Keiman’s side.

Specifically, Judge Bruce E. Reinhart has put the testimony of Wright into denial. According to a court audience member, Wright is claimed to submit falsified documents to the court. The judge also stated that Wright has took over 500 thousands Bitcoins that he and Kleiman have mined. Moreover, he was also accused of the intellectual property rights associated with Bitcoin’s software.

Kleiman’s estate brought the case to court in February 2018, claiming that Wright stole hundreds of thousands of BTC worth over $5 billion after Kleiman’s death. Wright is said to “forge a series of contracts that purported to transfer Dave’s assets to Craig and/or companies controlled by him. Craig backdated these contracts and forged Dave’s signature on them.”

Earlier in May, Craig Wright has brought Ver to court with a libel lawsuit in London. Ver has been sued for calling Wright a fraud and a liar, together with some other things. Due to lack of jurisdiction, Judge Matthew Nicklin from the High Court of England and Wales has reportedly moved a libel legal complaint into dismissal.
