The tech heavyweight Microsoft is developing a set of blockchain-based tools available to PowerApps and Microsoft Flow users.
The Power Platform is designed for collaborative work to analyze data for insights, build custom apps, automate workflows to improve business productivity.
Reported by a technology news outlet GeekWire, Microsoft PowerApps custom application builder and PowerBI business intelligence tool will be supported with AI and blockchain technology. The firm announced the news during the Microsoft Business Applications Summit on Monday in Atlanta.
Recently, Microsoft was reportedly planning to introduce a brand new decentralized identity (DID) network, developed directly on the Bitcoin blockchain. The new decentralized infrastructure integration – dubbed “Identity Overlay Network (ION)” – is an open source project, co-developed by the Decentralized Identity Foundation, built upon the theory of how different systems communicate with one another.
Earlier, Microsoft has announced to develop Azure Blockchain – a new blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS) platform, allowing developers to apply the latest trends in technology. Frank Shaw, Microsoft’s head of corporate communications, revealed that the Blockchain not only “simplifies the formation, management, and governance of consortium blockchain networks”, but also supports users with complicated corporation network “in a few simple clicks”, or simply basic operations.
