As stated in research by the Cloud Identity and management services provider Okta on April 2nd, Blockchain technology is the number one investment destination for 61% of top-tier corporations all across the globe.
Specifically, the “Digital Enterprise Report” has been carried out by Okta on many of the major companies in the world, to find out more about the current trends in technological developments and business opportunities in the IT world. Over 1000 IT “decision makers” – executives from global firms with no less than $1 billion revenue, and are in charge of deciding which IT-related fields to invest in – were interviewed.
The survey – lasted throughout the first 2 months of 2019, January and February – has given back some interesting results regarding emerging technologies investment of high-profile companies. A majority of decision makers were found to be investing in Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) fields, with detailed response figures standing at 72 percent and 68 percent respectively. 61 percent of people surveyed revealed their preferred field to be blockchain tech, while 58 percent chose to invest in augmented reality technology.
“Bundled together, 90% of the respondents whose organizations are working on a formal digital transformation are also investing in at least one or more of these forward-looking technologies,” the report further revealed.
