Specifically, the blockchain wallet and cryptocurrency exchange platform Blockchain.com is reportedly having plans down its pipeline to widen the scope of its business to cover the Cayman Islands, following the successful acquisition of registrations granted by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA).

With Issuance completed on July 6th, the registration reportedly offered an official regulatory greenlight to Blockchain.com to offer custodial services, function an exchange as well as provide over-the-counter crypto brokerage services for institutional clients under the CIMA’s regulatory framework.

Blockchain.com’s chief business officer Lane Kasselman reportedly mentioned that the Cayman Islands serves as a crucial jurisdiction area for the firm’s operations since the local community and regulators have fostered a “robust blockchain business ecosystem.”

The most recent registration is included in the scope of Blockchain.com’s larger pledge to global compliance and regulation in every jurisdiction of the platform’s presence, including America. 

It has the further intention of assisting Blockchain.com by providing extra support for institutional clients, which generate approximately half (50%) of the firm’s revenue.
