Search engine heavyweight Google is reportedly teaming up with blockchain studio Dapper Labs from Canada, to facilitate the design of new Web 3 products and services, including the famous NFT marketplace.

Specifically, as included within the scope of the agreement, Google Cloud will reportedly be in charge of being a network operator for Dapper Labs’ Flow blockchain, the scalable infrastructure which operates an ecosystem of NFTs, games, and apps from end-to-end.

According to Janet Kennedy, the vice president of Google Cloud North America, the newly formed alliance, which is expected to last for numerous years, will offer assistance to Dapper regarding the widening of its operation scope, via “scalable, secure infrastructure” provided by Google.

Google has further introduced a simplified method for Flow developers, in terms of the integration with its software, offering additional incentive to select Google Cloud instead of the giant’s main competitors, nominally Amazon Web Services.

Dapper Labs’ CEO Roham Gharegozlou reportedly shared the confirmation for the alliance on September 14th, via welcoming Google to the Flow blockchain.

Dapper’s Flow blockchain reportedly provides supporting features for a variety of widely acknowledged NFT collections across the market, nominally NBA Top Shot and CryptoKitties.

By February 2021,  NBA Top Shot had earned $230 million in sales, with the figure experiencing a nearly three-fold increase to $680 million.

Acknowledging the benefits the NFT market can bring in the long haul, NBA legends Michael Jordan and Kevin Durant joined other investors in supporting Dapper’s $305 million funding round in 2021.
