TON Labs is reportedly forming an alliance with China’s Blockchain-based Service Network, in a bid to design applications on the Telegram-built TON protocol.
Specifically, via the new collaboration, access to TON technology will reportedly be granted to BSN developers.
The same as other cases of adapting public networks to the BSN China network, TON Labs will reportedly complete the adaptation of the Telegram-built TON protocol, to satisfy the requirements of local regulations.
As a result, the TON network implementation on BSN China will reportedly function as an open permissioned blockchain version.
Per He Yifan – Head of Red Date Technology – China-based engineers will view the low latency, scalable TON blockchain as an appropriate base layer for creating useful applications.
For TON Labs, the partnership with the Chinese blockchain infrastructure initiative will assist it in amping up developer activity on the TON protocol, adding extra values to the initiative.
“It’s a creative approach to send a strong message that a company, a country, a people, even when facing certain statutory hurdles, can still find a way to use technology earmarked for everyone on the planet despite whatever localized mandates there may be, and while remaining in total compliance, vis-a-vis, adoption.” TON Labs CEO Cyril Paglino reportedly stated regarding the development.
Previously, in spite of Telegram’s decision to depart the TON blockchain after its Gram token project came under regulatory heat, the tech underpinning the project is reportedly still operating, with the messaging heavyweight to shift the operation to the community, under the aegis of the Free TON network.
